Eden’s POV
Laying on the bed, my head is resting on Harrison’s chest as I draw circles on the top of his thigh with my finger. He’s unusually quiet, even for him, but the fact he’s continuing to lay here with me has me pushing aside any unease I feel.
Sliding my fingers along his taut muscular skin, I trail down his thigh until my fingers find the thick ridges of scar tissue. I hesitate for a fraction of a second before I gently trace over the damage feeling the ex marine tense as I explore each mark that covers his left knee.
Sitting up, I looks up at him, meeting his wary gaze before dropping my eyes back to his scars again. Slowly, I lean down, brushing my lips over the damage, kissing each mark with a featherlight touch.
‘I hate those scars’ he blurts out suddenly, drawing my attent……
