Hali’s POV

‘Montgomery realtors, Hali speaking, how may I help you?’ I parrot down the phone.

‘Hello? Is that Montgomery realtors?’ an older woman’s voice asks me.

‘Yes ma-am’ I reply, ‘the one and only, how can I help you?’

‘Do you sell houses?’ she asks worriedly.

‘Yes ma-am, that’s exactly what I do, I help you sell or buy a property’ I state, sighing deeply to myself.

‘Oh good, my Clyde, he’s not so spritely now, our daughter thinks we should move closer to her and her family. She says our home isn’t suitable anymore for him, what with the stairs, and our bathroom is on the first floor . . ‘ I can hear the uncertainty in the woman’s voice as she speaks, and have an image pop in my head of her fidgeting with paperwork as she talks to me.
