‘I’m sorry, what?’ I stare at the man across from me, sure that I misheard him because there is no way that he just told me that I’m getting married.
My father clicks his tongue in annoyance, glaring at me as though I’m purposefully being obtuse.
‘Your fiancée will be here for dinner next Saturday, you will attend so that the two of you can meet’ he orders. ‘The wedding will be in four months time, just before the half yearly report. Your mother has already started a guest list and has a planner looking into venues. You will need to go for a tuxedo fitting, the details of when and where will be forwarded to you . . ‘
‘Hold up’ I yell, finally finding my voice, ‘what the f.uck are you talking about, I’m not getting married and I sure as hell am not marrying someone I don’t e……
