Seona’s POV
I end up making a double batch of fudge that night for Eralia, my ingrained desire not to upset anyone forcing me to fulfil the request. Just like last night, Mark follows me down to the kitchen, taking his seat beside me as I pull out everything I need. This time he doesn’t try to steal any of the fudge from me as I cut it into squares and I am weirdly sad about it finding that I enjoyed the playful side of the usually stoic man.
Today, I’m sitting in the living room, a book in my hands that I found in one of the cabinets when I was trying to tidy up a little before Mark ordered me to stop and rest.
The huge soldier just doesn’t seem to want me to do anything for him and I’m at a bit of a loose end because of it. When I was at home, I had dishes to wash, carpets to vacuum,……
