Mark was right, other than being a little shaken up, my mother is fine, and after a strong cup of coffee and an hour calming down at the bakery, she decides to head home.

Benny had offered to follow her back to her house, and wait with her until Noah returned from practice. Mum had balked slightly, worried about putting the security team out even more than she has, but Callan insisted, refusing to give in until the older woman agreed to the escort.

I’m thankful that Mark’s boss made my mother take someone with her, even though the car left her when she pulled into the high street, that doesn’t mean he wasn’t waiting around for her to return home somewhere nearby.
