Seona’s POV
I huddle in the passenger seat of the sedan, shivering but I’m not sure if its from cold or fear. Beside me, Davis scowls, his fingers gripping the steering wheel as he moves erratically through the traffic, cutting in front of other road uses who sound their horns loudly.
‘Slow down, you’re going to get us killed’ I mutter, my own fingers tightening around the handle above my door as we cut in front of a truck with inches to spare causing the driver to slam on his brakes, his tyres squealing behind us.
‘Shut up’ Davis snarls back, not even looking at me, ‘shut you f.ucking mouth! I need to think.’
My lips snap together immediately, kicking myself mentally about leaving the safety of the hospital. What was I thinking coming outside on my own? I should have waited, told Mark ……
