Seona’s POV
Something is wrong, I can feel it, something has upset the soldier and he’s trying to cover it up.
In the time we have lived together above the bakery, I have come to understand the military man, and can now pick up the nuances of his emotions underneath the surly façade that he portrays to the world.
Daisy stands up handing us both a menu as my brother pouts up at her.
‘Hey, what about me?’ he demands, crossing his arms over his chest and raising an eyebrow at my friend who rolls her eyes.
‘What about you?’ the café owner counters, ‘you aren’t a paying customer.’
Noah huffs loudly, ‘woman, I just fixed your damn table for you, free of charge, I deserve a sandwich.’
I shake my head at the pair, they have bickered with each other since we were kids. It’s also well known that my brother……
