Seconds later my door slams open and my fiery redheaded friend practically falls into the room followed by a huge, muscular, brown haired man who exudes masculine Alpha vibes, but is currently glancing sheepishly toward Gage.
‘Sorry boss’ he mutters, ‘I tried to stop her, but she wasn’t taking no for an answer.’
Abbey raises an eyebrow at the hulking man who physically takes a step back under the small woman’s ferocious gaze, raising his hands in surrender.
Nodding, my friend turns back to me, her anger morphing into one of worry as she hurries toward me, crossing the space between us in a few steps and throwing herself on top of me.
