Hali’s POV
It’s Monday night, and I can no longer put off the inevitable, I’m not going to be able to meet Eddie’s 30 day notice for my rent payments, so I have no choice but to go downstairs to his apartment and work for extra time. I really always knew that I was going to have to clean his apartment until the sale of the Cabin goes through, but a tiny part of me hoped for a miracle that would land the money I owed into my lap so I could avoid it.
I had tried to come up with any other option, I'd quickly dismissed asking my parents, i'd never been close to them as the oops baby, and even if I was, they were working class people who were still trying to pay off their home in their sixties. I also didn't want to live through another conversation of how disappointing I am, how I should ……
