Adeline slowly made her way from Lucan's chambers, feeling even worse. She had woken up with the very first flash of light in the skies, and had exerted all of her cooking skills in order to prepare a nice meal for Lucan, only for her to not even be able to present it to him. That hurt more than anything, and she caught herself sighing yet again.
She passed by one of the smaller corners in the hallways and thought nothing of it when suddenly, she felt a hand wrap around her wrist and her waist and pull her tight into the the dimly lit corner.
"Let me go!" She started to scream, but the hand only got stronger, and the earnest plea of someone reached her ears. She opened her eyes, and Evander was standing right there, one hand on his lips, his eyes wide, the other hand clamping down on her mou……
