“Mr. Gabriel…” I stared at the man standing at my doorstep, drenched in rain. “What are you doing at my house? How do you even know where I live?”
Before he could respond, Jayden’s arm shot out protectively, pulling me behind him. His body stiffened like a wall between us.
“Did you give him your address?” Jayden asked, eyes never leaving Gabriel. His voice was hard, almost threatening.
I didn’t answer. I tried stepping around Jayden, but he gently pushed me back behind him again.
“Jayden, why are you shielding me like that?” I huffed, peeking past his shoulder.
Gabriel smirked. “He thinks I’m going to gobble you up.”
I arched my brow, confused and increasingly uncomfortable. “That doesn’t answer how you know where I live.”
