"Say that again," I growled.
“She’s my mate,” he repeated, calmly. Too calmly.
Before I realised what I was doing, I had him by the collar, my fingers digging into the fabric like claws. “Say that again and I’ll rip you in half.”
He shrugged off my grip and stepped back, unbothered. “You’re overreacting, Jayden Evers. Do you have a problem with me?”
“Yes, I have a problem,” I snapped. “I don’t ever want to see you near her again. Catriona is my mate—my one and only. She doesn’t belong to you, or anyone else. You have no right to call her yours.”
He chuckled, head shaking in mock amusement. “What the hell is so funny?” I demanded.
He pinched the bridge of his nose, then looked up with a smirk. “This is going to be fun. I was going to reject her at first—she’s too human. But now? Now I think……
