I burst out laughing.

“Because, Sandra,” I said, still giggling, “what you just said is hilarious. Jayden never told me that everyone in this house could communicate through their minds. And even if that’s true, he would’ve replied to me—or at least given me a sign! But he didn’t. He would’ve—”

I stopped rambling when I noticed the serious look on her face.

“Catriona,” she said gently, “Alpha didn’t tell you everything about us.”

My smile faded. “Wait... are you saying it’s true?”

She nodded solemnly.

“Does that mean... everyone heard what I said? Everything I was babbling?”

She nodded again.

“Like, everything?” I asked in a whisper.
