“What the hell does he think he’s doing—exposing himself to the cops like that?” I muttered, unable to believe Gabriel's recklessness. Try not at all. I knew Gabe was unhinged, but this… this was next level. From where I stood, I could see the officers' wide-eyed expressions—frozen, confused. Werewolves being half-naked was normal in our world. But to humans? Startling. Alarming.
“Were you kids playing mature games?” one of the officers asked, skeptical.
“Officers!” Catriona whispered-shouted, her voice tight with embarrassment. “Don’t jump to conclusions!”
