"Sorry, do I know you?" I asked the old man standing before me.

"You may not know me, but I know who you are—and that's why I'm here. To tell you something... and warn you at the same time," he replied.

I narrowed my eyes at him, wary. What shocked me more was that we were communicating through mind link—but he wasn’t a werewolf.

I blinked, trying to regain composure. "Whatever it is you want to say, it’ll have to wait. Respectfully," I said through the link. "I have unfinished business to handle."

I moved to pass him, but his voice froze me mid-step.

"You don’t need to go. Whatever business you were heading to... it’s already been taken care of."

I slowly turned, confused. "What are you talking about?"

"You'll find out very soon," he said.

Then his eyes grew serious. “The reason I approache……
