Helena’s eyes brimmed with unshed tears. It was heartbreaking seeing Beth sitting like this. A shell of her former self. She could feel the grief radiating from her tiny body.
She looked like she had barely eaten in days, and Helena could see that she was under weight and frail. Her once vibrant and shiny hair was dull and matted. Dark circles under her eyes were sunken. Her skin looked dehydrated and had a dirty sheen.
What could she do to help?
Looking at Marianne for any ideas. Helena caught sight of the earrings that the Moon Goddess had given her mother. She suddenly felt a surge of energy. It was as if a voice was whispering to her. She knew what she needed to do.
“Gifts.” She murmured. “What other gifts do I have?”
