I returned from my vision, and a shiver ran down my spine. Gael was too close to her, too invested in getting her, and I was too far from her. Indeed, the fact that I was not there protected her, but it didn't sit well with me in the end.
She is my mate, my life, the mother of my pup… and I am her lover and protector. There is no other way around this story. It is destined… and killing me to be on the sidelines.
“He is the one…” I said, and the discussion came to a halt.
“The one? Who?” Matei asked, and I sighed.
“I just had a vision… the dragon, the member of the Order who killed us in our other lives… was a Spessartite Dragon… I saw his eyes… in my vision.” I told everyone in the room.
Silence, utter and piercing silence, was what was heard. No movement, sound, ……
