Adam POV
In a fraction of a second, I thought about every single possibility, one worse than its predecessor. From her leaving me, to the idea of her being found and captured by those hunters, every single scenario crossed my head, and each one was more devastating than the other.
“Adam, What is going on?” I heard her concerned and sweet voice, breaking my reeling mind. She was there in front of me, safe.
“f**k, you are alright!” Without hesitation, I wrapped my arms around her and held her close to me. My mind was trying to cope and catch up with all the emotions that invaded my heart. Suddenly, I felt something cold mixed with her warmth, and my shirt was getting damped.
I cupped her chin and lifted her face to mine, “Let me see you,” I muttered, staring into the green……
