I had no idea what came over me, but I wanted to wake up in his arms. I normally am not this clingy creature, but surprisingly, with him, I feel possessive and apprehensive. I wanted to be the center of his life, and I wanted to be surrounded by him every minute of my day.
He dropped the bags beside the door and stepped into the spacious room. It was not the master bedroom, and it was bigger than my whole place down at the Academy, including the dining area. It is a subtle way to remark how differently we were brought up. I was raised in a loving household, where my father, as a dragon council member, earned good money and didn't lack anything, but we were not as rich as any royal. We had a comfortable life, and I must thank my father for it.
