I slowly turned around and gave him a tight smile. I didn't want to engage in small talk, nor was I interested in mingling or meeting new people. I just wanted to blend and desperately be invisible.
“Gunter?” I said, trying to remember his name. Of course, I remembered, but I was playing dumb.
“I am offended, beautiful…” he said, pressing his chest in mock pain. Maybe you don't have a good memory, or maybe I was completely unimportant to you, but I could remember those eyes for an eternity…” He said, and I bit my lower lip. I was not flirting, but he made me antsy.
“Gael…” He extended his hand, and I shook it.
“Gae! Right… I have an issue remembering faces and matching them with names… Sorry…” I said and he nodded.
