My breath released for what seemed like the first time since leaving the hotel. I’d left the hotel, numb from the neck up. My mind was blank. Unable to feel and unwilling to think.
A few minutes passed by before I caught myself looking straight from the window. I was still shaking and the more I thought about it, the more confused I got.
I kept trying to make sense about the whole situation. The woman—whether she was being trafficked, or abused and f**k, she may probably be dead already.
Gruesome images filled my head and I could do nothing to stop them. The numb fog dissolved in an instant. An ache engulfed my chest with a sickening force. I gasped at the intensity. A howling cry erupted from deep within. My body folded forward, attempting to ease the pain which wrenched my heart.
