I don’t know how to help her. Ellie is distraught. She has been crying for so long and is still holding Helga’s hand. I’ll have to return to Mani soon, but I don’t want to leave her.
I saw the way that Helga first looked at my Ellie. She could see how special she was, just like I can. I wasn’t expecting her to panic the first time she bled here, especially when I found out it wasn’t the first time. I was furious when Catherine told me it was something to be ashamed of in their home. It’s not here, though. Here, it is something sacred.
Helga wouldn’t let me into the hut that day, but when I explained that she thought she was unclean and couldn’t understand my words, she finally relented and let me see my girl.
Their bond started to grow that day and has been special ev……
