I walk up beside Anders, wrapping my arm around him. He places his around me and holds me to him, but he doesn’t stop his conversation.
“I can make that, but it will take a few days,” the blacksmith tells him.
“That is fine,” Anders tells him with a smile. “Take your time. We’ve been alright without any knives until now. We can wait.”
The man nods and smiles. “Jarl,” he says, tipping his head to me.
“Eleanor, please,” I tell him. “How are you?”
He looks at me surprised. “You have learned the language well, and so quickly.”
“She has,” Anders speaks up. “Eleanor, this is Hvitserk,” Anders tells me. “He helped me build our house. He’s married to Olga’s daughter.”
“It’s nice to actually meet you, Hvitserk,” I say with a smile.
