“I suppose you can join me,” I tell him cautiously. “I don’t know if my husband will like it.”
He takes a seat, unphased by my comment about Anders, and pulls his boots off, sticking his feet in the water. I’m sure to not catch anything now.
“You cursed my husband,” I say, not angry, but not asking, either.
He nods. “I did. He was a terrible person before you.”
“Or maybe it was before the curse,” I challenge, not happy that anyone, even Odin himself, is speaking badly about my husband.
“YOU have changed him, Eleanor,” he tells me with a small smile. “You. The curse started to, but it was you who has made him care for others.”
I sigh, pulling my knees up and resting my chin on them as I look out at the expanse of the water. “He is a good man. He loves me.”
