LUKE’S POV
In all honesty, I didn’t want to go to that party, but in order not to appear rude, I had to honor the invitation. After all, they were Lycans and it could mean a lot of things for me not to show up.
“I really hope I don’t get so bored,” I grunted, almost staggering through the small path while I avoided any form of contact with the other guests in the large hall.
It had been so long since I set my eyes on her and there were a lot of things that reminded me of her. The familiar fragrance, the void in my heart that I refused to admit, and the fact that she just vanished.
Everyone had concluded she was dead, me too. But deep down, it felt as though a part of her was still alive, maybe not in me or probably in the things that surrounded me.
