Five hours later, it was already the close of work, and I was ready to leave.

Fred was standing right there at the exit door, and it was totally unknown to me until I sighted him and almost gasped in shock.

“I have been waiting for you for almost an hour.” He said calmly, making way for me to pass through.

“I didn’t realize that.” I pretended as though I didn’t intentionally stay for an extra hour just to make sure that I didn’t see Fred again that day. But apparently, he was persistent.
