ARIEL’S POV
Everything was going well until that lady arrived. I knew that Davis wasn’t himself, but I wasn’t about to make things easier for him, knowing fully that he was guilty of whatever was making him nervous at that moment.
Severally, he looked at me, probably to see if I was upset, but he couldn’t even get to keep eye contact with me for more than a few seconds. I realized that the lady was someone he must have done some nasty stuff with in the past.
“Is she the reason why you refused to take my calls and reply to my messages?” The lady asked rudely, but I chose to ignore her demeanor, hoping that Davis was going to be man enough to speak up.
“Gina? I need you to leave, okay? This is not the right time and place.” Davis finally spoke up, but for some reason the lady scoffed at his ……
