After getting dressed, Tasmin had already let him in. They stood at opposite ends of the room scowling at one another. The tension in the room was thick. It was clear these two did not like one another. Kalen looked toward us, his eyes scanning me in disgust. A low menacing growl from Xanda had him quickly looking away from me though and to Xanda in confusion. Which was odd, and then I remembered. Xanda was playing off that it was him and Tasmin together behind my back, and I was being played.
He would be confused as to why Xanda's reaction to him looking at me that way would be so vicious.
" You are not meant to care for me that much ", I reminded him through the link.
