I stood there staring at the phone for a few minutes.

Finally! Alpha Barker has gotten to know about the death of Amelia. A few minutes later, Seth walked in with some guards behind him.

"Ready to take Amelia's corpse to the Paxon pack?" Seth asked.

"Alpha Barker knows about her death already," I said after a few minutes of Seth standing behind me.

"How did he get to know? We were planning on breaking the news to him when we got to the Paxon pack.

Who told him about it?" Seth asked, looking worried.

"I overheard it during my conversation with Nina. She was suggesting I bury Amelia here and break the news to him later," I said.

"Damn it! There's no need to delay anything then. Let's just take the corpse to him before the smell ……
