Elena's POV

I couldn't find the right words to say, I just stared at Kessler in shock.

"Is she not back yet? I already prepared her room before coming into my room to take a nap?" I asked.

"I put everything to you before I left so I don't know if she's back yet or not," Kessler said, yelling angrily.

"Maybe she's inside her room," I said.

Kessler was about to reply to me when a call came in. He rolled his eyes angrily at me before walking out.

I made an unreliable promise that I couldn't fulfill. I just wish Irving could rush to my door and tell me that Amelia is back just like it happened in my dream.

I was thinking of what to do when my phone started ringing. I checked the caller ID and realized it was from my father, Alpha Barker.
