Elena's POV

I got back inside and met Kessler still sleeping peacefully on his bed. The doctor earlier told me that for the drugs to start having an effect on him, he needs to have a good six hours of sleep.

A few minutes later, Seth walked in with the files I asked him to bring for me and I also received the email from the secretary.

"Thank you," I said, taking the files from him.

I checked it out and realized they are the exact same thing, so I opted in for the soft copy.

I took my time checking through the files ahead for tomorrow's meeting. When I was done going through the files, I went back to my room after checking up on Kessler.

I instructed an Omega and a security to stand watch for when he would wake up and no one should go in to see him.……
