Elena's POV

I was caught unawares. I didn't know what to say. I was finding words when an idea suddenly struck my mind.

I moved closer to Kessler and hugged him passionately.

"Oh, I didn't inform you yesterday, Amelia hit me with a harmful object yesterday when I was bringing her upstairs.

I thought it was something minor not until I started having a severe headache this morning, so I told him to come check up on me and run some tests when he's done attending to Amelia," l lied, caressing his chest.

"What? Hope you are fine now?" Kessler asked, checking out my temperature.

"I'm not sure, I asked the doctor to lock the door, so I wouldn't be disturbed by anyone," I replied, shaking my head.

"Is he done checking up on you?" Kessler asked.
