Jen’s POV
I can’t believe my best friend is pregnant. I tried to console her as best I could trying to tell her that her mate would be happy she was carrying his pup. Not many male wolves shy away from fatherhood. Especially not Alphas who need and want an heir. I imagine a lycan king would be no different. I am hugging Ari as best as I could with her sobbing and said soothing words to her in the bid to get her to calm down. If not I am worried that her mate will come crashing in here feeling her distress.
No sooner did that thought cross my mind did the door come flying off the hinges and in ran the king and my mate followed by practically a whole squadron of warriors. All were looking for the threat to their queen. Once they realize that there isn’t a threat the warriors lea……
