“To my dismay, Mason followed me home. “What the hell are you doing here?” I demanded.
Ignoring me, he strode past me and started knocking on the front door. I had a key, but I didn’t want to let him in. Mom, however, was thrilled to see him when she opened the door. “Mason! My goodness, you look so handsome in that tux. Is there a dance tonight?”
“No,” he replied as I stood fuming in the driveway. “Ella and I dressed up for that photo shoot I told you about. My friend is a photographer also, and I thought we could get some pictures together too as well as the ones I’m going to take of Ella. Is it okay if we go do that now?”
“Of course,” she told him as I came stomping up to the door.
“No,” I protested. “I want to change out of this stupid dress right now! Leave me alone, Mason. I’……
