There was a food truck parked by the road.
“Let’s eat there instead,” I told Caden, unable to hide my excitement. He couldn’t hide the disgust in his face.
‘Come on,” I jibed, grabbing his hand and pulling him towards the food truck before he could refuse.
“I’m not trying to get food poisoning, Cora,” he whispered in my ear as we stood in line.
“You won’t, I promise,” I said confidently as I pulled him to the line. As we stood there hand in hand, I couldn’t help but notice how cute he was. His hair had grown a bit longer and was falling sexily just above his eyes. He ran his hand through his hair and I couldn’t help but gape at that little movement. How could hair be that flawless and smooth? We made eye contact for a few seconds before he flashed me a smile that made me weak in the knees.
