Chapter 49~ Security Failure

~Victor’s POV~

I can’t believe how stupid I was to let Bella out of my sight. I was en route to the Diamond’s club and was about 15 minutes out before I got the phone call that someone had shot at Bella's limo right outside the club. My men knew to secure the street and a two-block radius before letting the occupants out of the armored vehicle, so I’m not sure what happened. All I knew was that someone would be paying for this security breach. The after party to Diamonds was not a spur of the moment outing and for my men to be caught sleeping like this was unacceptable.

When the initial report said that there were fatalities, my heart sank. I remember how scared I was when I got there to see Bella on the ground covered with blood. I almost lost it until I saw where the blood was coming from.……
