"Coming!" I called out, my voice slightly muffled as I hurried towards the door, my heart racing with anticipation. Who could possibly be on the other side at this hour?
As I swung the door open, a sight unlike anything I had ever imagined greeted me. For a moment, time seemed to freeze as disbelief washed over me; my mind struggled to comprehend the impossibility of it all.
It was Father! The realization of his presence struck me like a wave crashing upon the shore. The warmth of his broad smile illuminated his face, and a cascade of thoughts surged through my mind like a river in flood. Had he somehow managed to obtain the King’s approval in record time? How could he be standing right there, looking so pleased to see me? I vividly remember the morning when he departed for the Castle at ……
