The grand hall was adorned with opulence and grandeur, yet the atmosphere was anything but regal or festive. Elegant, intricate tapestries decorated the walls, each one showcasing the rich history of the kingdom, while magnificent chandeliers, sparkling with countless crystals, dangled from the ornate ceiling, casting a soft light throughout the room. However, despite the visual splendor surrounding us, the air was thick with tension, a nearly palpable sensation coiling around us like a serpent intent on constricting its prey, squeezing tighter with every lingering moment of silence.
