Damon’s POV.
“Twelve good years Damon, it’s been twelve f*****g years and you suddenly decide to show up out of the blue.” Liam says as he wraps me up in a tight hug.
We’re standing in front of his car and the last time I remember seeing his bright and cheerful face was when I walked into the airport, that night, twelve years ago.
I didn’t tell anyone about my decision to leave except for Liam and this time, no one knows about my arrival except for him. He is the only one I can trust at the moment.
The only one I am certain isn’t the anonymous killer I flew all the way back into the territories of a pack I swore to never to come back to again all those years ago, for.
“So…are you going to see Alpha Scott now?” He asks as we head towards the car.
Alpha Scott! That name echoes in my head over and over again. How can a name that is supposed to be very important to me sound so plain and worthless?
I don’t respond and Liam takes that as a No, he turns around sharply and pins me with a stare. I try to ignore him and get to the car but he won’t let me.
“C’mon man, it’s been twelve years already!” He exclaims, “he is your father Damon, he deserves to know that you’re back in the pack.”
“It’s just a quick business trip Liam, there’s nothing to it and I would appreciate if you just drop me off at the hotel rather than whatever this is. I am so tired and I don’t think I am in the mood to argue with you.” I reply, calmly.
He opens his mouth to say something but decides not to. Without another word, he takes the wheel and we drive out of the parking lot.
Twelve years and nothing has changed about the Crescent Moon Pack, my father, Alpha Scott is still the Alpha and he is still married to Kira’s mother.
Kira.
I smile sheepishly to myself at the thought of her beautiful face. Her face is now imprinted on my mind because I use to stare at her pictures, practically stalking her on the net for hours on end but I can’t seem to find her so I make do with childhood pictures due to the fact that I can’t bring myself to respond to her numerous letters, emails, phone calls and so on.
But even that mysteriously stopped a few years ago. I am happy yet sad that she has moved on and I can’t wait to see what she looks like now.
“Why are you smiling?” Liam’s voice snaps me out of my thoughts.
“Nothing.” I reply curtly.
“It feels good to be back right?” He asks with a grin, “you know, your father always predicted that this day would come. Still can’t believe I am not allowed to tell him.”
I just smile at his response while my mind slowly drifts back to the only person I would practically kill someone to get a glimpse of right now.
After I left all those years ago, Kira had a really tough time. I blamed myself each day and questioned my decision to leave for so long. I knew replying to her messages would only make things worse so I just decide to do it and I am forced to continue that for the rest of my life.
It’s one of my greatest regrets till date.
But, Kira, my attractive step-sister with the unique green eyes is no longer the baby sister I had to protect back in school, she is now Kira Richardson, the daughter of the late Beta of the Crescent Moon Pack, and currently a twenty-three years old woman who would inherit her late father’s company tomorrow.
Which is the only reason why her mother was coerced into marrying my father and becoming his…
“We’re here.” Liam announces as he pulls up in front of a fancy looking hotel. “This is the best in the pack and trust me when I say your father can never find out you’re here.” He adds reassuringly.
“Not just my father, no one must know that I am back, is that clear?” I hold his gaze in the mirror until he nods before I look away and step down from his car.
“I think I would take it from here.” I grab my bags and make it to the large hotel doors alone without even giving him a chance to say good bye.
That’s one of my weaknesses though. I have never liked the concept of saying good bye to my loved ones.
I meet a red-head at the reception desk and she is more than willing to show me up to my room personally, she is practically throwing herself at me because she has no idea who I am. To her, I am probably just one of the numerous rich Alphas from a neighboring pack that visit Crescent’s City to search for investments and business deals.
No one that did not know me as a child can recognize me, and growing up, my father hid me from the public so I can comfortably move around, at least to an extent.
After a few minutes, I mange to get past the receptionist and make my way to the elevator with the key that should unlock the room Liam booked for me.
This would be my sanctuary till I get to the bottom of the anonymous note I received two days ago.
I step into the elevator and just before it slides shut, a man dressed in black and wearing a black face cap rushes in. He keeps to the far end of the elevator and I can’t even get a good look at his face.
He does not even acknowledge my presence.
We remain in silence until the elevator makes a ding sound and the doors slide open again. I step forward at the exact same time with him so our bodies slam against each other.
My key drops to the floor along with his almost immediately.
“Oh…I’m so sorry.” I apologize but the stranger doesn’t even have the curtesy to respond to that, he just bends down, picks up his keys and storms out.
“f*****g dummies.” I hear him curse under his breath as he disappears down the other side of the hall.
I grab my keys and step out of the elevator after him. I am way too tired to be worried about a mannerless stranger so I glance down at the key card for the room number written on it.
“142.” I read out loud to myself as I walk down the opposite direction in search of my room.
I don’t have to walk for long though, soon enough, I am standing in front of a room with the number, “142” written boldly on it.
Exhausted and longing forward to a warm bath to fix my tensed muscles, I swipe my access card and make my way into the well furnished room.
Liam is definitely right about this place.
As soon as I lock the door, I waste no time at all to get out of my clothes, butt naked, I head to the bathroom. I slide open the glass door and step inside the bathroom but I barely take a step in when I notice something move from my peripheral vision.
I turn around sharply and I am stunned to find her in a bathrobe, with water dripping down her wet hair. She looks like she has just stepped out of the shower.
My hands drops down to cover my c**k as a gasp slid through my lips.
“The f**k!” I yell, as my eyes widens in shock.
I try to make sense of her presence in the room but the only explanation could be that one of us has the wrong room and with the look of things, she isn’t alone so I must have made a mistake.
I try to call the receptionist to help fix the mess but she does something that I never expected. She slips off her robe and to my surprise, my c**k twitches in reaction at the sight of her perky n*****s.
I don’t have an explanation for this and I do not wish to get tangled up with someone so I try to kick her out but the woman refuses to leave, she stands her ground and even tries to kiss me.
I resist her for as long as I can but Xan, my wolf seems to be enjoy her unusual behavior so when she kisses me the third time, he renders me powerless so I don’t get to push her off.
Something about her excites me, the softness of her lips and the sensuality of her body captivates me and the next thing I know, I loose control and take her right there and then, like a beast, while standing and with her pinned against the wall.
Everything is happening way too fast and it feels like a dream. I am thrusting into her and she is moaning so loudly. She is so wet that I can’t think of anything else other than the exciting friction between her and my c**k.
I don’t understand why a woman like her would want to f**k a total stranger and I don’t understand why I am doing this either but it feels so surreal.
As soon as she climax, she collapse due how powerful her orgasm is so I take her to the bed and lay her down on it.
I can’t help but feel so guilty of taking advantage of her yet I am still craving more of her body. Irritated and pissed off at myself, I grab my clothes and get dressed as fast as possible.
As soon as I am done, I leave the room without her notice and I don’t get another, I leave the hotel and make my way home.
Maybe it’s time I go see my father. Maybe it’s time I stop trying to find a sanctuary and face my reality head on.
Most of all, I want to see Kira. Maybe her innocent face would tame my desires and burry whatever happened in that room with that odd woman.
