To say I hate losing would be an understatement. The team fell apart last night. Wyatt was an angry mess and I couldn’t get in the right headspace. I didn’t have a ton of shots on goal, but we still lost two to one. The goals that they did achieve wouldn’t have gone in if my mind wasn’t full of thoughts of Winter.

It was the morning after the game and the team was sitting in a conference room in the arena. William Hart ordered a meeting after the loss. And the team was there listening to him argue with the coaches. Warren wasn’t in attendance as Taylor gave birth yesterday to their son.

“Grandpa,” I heard a squeal before Hannah rushed into the room.

“No, Hannah, Grandpa is in a meeting,” Winter called out but was unable to catch the little girl. “Sorry,” she……
