The last thing I remember is that split second decision. As Roman was running towards the portal, I watched as Avery's face crumbled and I knew that there was nothing in this world that would divert her love for them... and nothing that would change mine for her. Pushing Roman aside as I crashed through that dark entrance, I felt my body splinter and then... nothing but black.
I lost track of time, wandering with sightless eyes. Unable to smell, or taste, or feel anything but the abyss of which I was thrown into. Until a brilliant light illuminated a treacherous path before me. My choice was simple. Undertake the task of climbing up through the void, or stay and dwell. I chose to climb.
