The retreat to the camp was silent and heavy with the weight of defeat. The moon, shrouded by dark clouds, cast a dim, eerie light on the battered and bruised pack members as they stumbled back. The forest, once a sanctuary, now seemed to echo with the ghosts of their fallen comrades.


At the camp, a mixture of relief and dread awaited those who managed to return. Fires flickered weakly, casting long shadows over the wounded who lay in makeshift beds. The air was thick with the scent of blood, herbs, and despair. Healers moved quietly among the injured, doing their best to stem the tide of pain and loss.


Ragnar, the Alpha, was among the last to arrive, flanked by Jax and Miranda. Their presence brought a semblance of hope, but it was fleeting. Only a handful of the pack had returne……
