As I was lying in bed, I could feel myself tossing and turning. Unable to fall asleep because I could not get my mind to quiet itself... There was so much to do, and I did not know if I had what it took to get it all done in time.
I had not bothered to go down to the dining hall for dinner. I was too overwhelmed with my thoughts to pretend to converse with anyone in the dining hall. I was relieved when no one came looking for me. They must have thought that I was too exhausted from my training match with Marcus to join them that evening... Or perhaps they do think that I was in hiding after what happened, but hopefully, I would have the chance to prove them wrong...
I thought that James might come looking for me again, and I dreaded the outcome of him and my ghost father i……
