"Be careful, anyone might see you", l turned and stared at Rhea. "I think they are asleep", l responded before opening the door and walked out. Silently with a piece of soap in my hand, I walked to the area that had the tallest bushes. There were ducks and swans in the distance just like Rhea told me but nothing was stopping me.
Ever since I was ordered to live with slaves, l wasn't only starved but bathing was also a problem. I did stink and the situation was now unbearable. The water was surprisingly clear , no mud , no frogs. I took off my dress that was stiff from last time's vomit in and dived in. It was so cold and refreshing. I felt my life come back. I really needed this and l wanted to swim.
I sank deeper into the water then later leaned towards the edge of the pond. I let my head……
