Emberlyn's Pov An awful smell filled my senses, as a strong arm looped into mine. It was dark so dark I couldn't see an inch In Front of my face. My breaths came out heavily,as my feet hit the ground fast. The shadowy figure who held onto me leading me away ,moved fast so fast I began stumbling. Once I fell on my knees,my arm broke the shadow hold. My fingers touched something hard,a Finger slipping into what felt like a hole. Lightening cracked across the sky. Illuminating what my hand was on . A human skull I jumped back with a scream ,looking up at the shadow of the man who brought me here. However it went black again. All that could be seen were glowing violet orbs. A spine chilling voice echoed through my ears. "I'm coming for you!" I found myself sitting in the center of my bed. My eyes scanned the dark room. I moved to the lamp turning it on fast. The clock over the fridge read 7:30 am. “Shit.” I cursed. Running to the drawers in the corner of the dorm room . Pulling out a pair of tight black ripped jeans. And a purple blouse After the world’s fastest shower. I put on the tight outfit that fit me as if it was a glove. Looking in the mirror. My emerald and black hair was dried and curled . After gathering my books I ran to class. Once I had made my way clear across the campus to Mr. Shafer’s class. I looked around the large room. Heading up the two steps for my regular seat. Only to be stopped in my tracks by Mr.shafer. “ Emberlyn, the principal needs to see you. “ I turned to Look to him, a long sigh escaped my lips. As I walked back down the steps exiting the classroom. My heart was racing , as I walked I couldn’t hear anything, over the loud hammering of my heart. As I walked down the long hallway. Finally after what seemed like an eternity, I pushed the heavy door open. Mr. Wood sat behind his desk. His bald head reminded me of a cue ball, his gray eyes looked empathetic. He looked at me with his ‘I’m sorry face.’ “ Ms. Green have a seat. “ He gestured to the chair In front of him. Reluctantly I sat looking at him. “You asked to see me? “ I prompted wanting him to get to the point. The anticipation was working my nerves and anxiety. “ Yes there is no easy way to say this Ms green, But due to budget cuts we are cutting out the scholarship program.” He said. My heart Sank as I looked at him , I felt the stinging in my eyes start. As frustration boiled inside me . “What? “ I asked just to be sure I heard him right. “We don’t have the funding to keep scholarship students enrolled at this time I am sorry. You have until Friday to either come up with your remaining tuition. Or you’ll have to drop all classes. “ he looked to me. I had a full ride ,meaning my tuition would be way to much to get by Friday. Standing abruptly , I got my things together. “ I am sorry miss green. “ he said once again . “Yea you’ve said that already.” I snapped. Before walking out of the office to the dorm. My vision became blurry as tears welled up in my eyes. I packed all of my belongings. Which wasn’t much. Just a coffee shop work uniform and a few outfits and Toiletries. I left the books on my bed. Walked out with my book bag packed full my belongings. . I only had two hundred dollars to my name, And nowhere to go. No clue where I was headed. I just begin walking kept on walking . Once I couldn’t move and more I sat at a bench ,to cry. I’d been walking so long I didn’t know where I ended up. All I knew was I was at a bus stop. Looking around I tried to examine where I was exactly. Turns out I was three cities over from the university . Across from the bus stop was a grey building,it looked to be a bar. Wanting to confirm I moved to the building ,opening the door. The smell of stale alcohol and loud music greeted me. So I was right ? I thought. That thought lasted until an announcer was heard through the speaker. “Now for our favorite school girl. Nixi .” my eyes scanned my surrounding .soon seeing a stage with a pole in the center . well I was sort of right it is a strip club. A brunet Walks unto the stage. Wearing a white blouse that only cover her breasts. Tied in the middle, and a short plaid skirt that didn’t cover anything. Moving to the bar I sat with a sigh. “ What can I get you beautiful? “ the male behind the bar asked. He was lean but not super muscular , though he did have cute dimples. “ Just water please.” I said softly . My voice was hoarse from crying. " Nonsense you should get a drink its on me." a charming male said from beside me. Well he thought he was charming anyway. " No I’m ok thank you. I insisted." The tall male scooted closer to me . As the male behind the bar slide me a cup of water. My Hazel eyes widened. As this make made me feel threatened. I slid over more into an unknown male. He looked in his late 40s early 50’s. His completion was Carmel and his eyes where chocolate brown. His hair was light brown and in a bun. For an older guy he was pretty f*****g hot. As I found my self almost on top of him. I scooted away. " I’m sorry sir. That guy is just creeping me out. “ I quickly got out of his space and apologized. He looked to me with his soul piercing eyes for a moment. I suddenly had the urge to cower down, as a rush of warmth washed over me . Not knowing why ,I bowed my head to this man. What the hell am I doing? He seemed confused to as he c****d his head to the side. I rose my head as he looked away. He said nothing just went back to his drink. The cute bar tender came over. "Here, from the man a the end of the bar." He said sliding me a strawberry daiquiri. “Thank you.” I smiled. I didn’t know the male but I did watch the bartender make this drink so I felt safe. I sipped it slowly watching the women dance. Once I finished that drink another was placed In Front of me. “ oh no thank you.” I argued. A chill crept up my spine as I stood ,my vision became distorted as I stood. Attempting to move to the bathroom. Everything sounded far away ,in a tunnel. The music was faint. Soon I felt a large hand cup over my mouth. Panic rose in me. But I couldn’t move or scream. An arm snaked around my waist, around the front. His hand running slowly up my thigh. The spine chilling Voice from my night mares. Was heard, only this time I felt his breath on the back of my neck as he spoke. “ It is not nice to reject a drink that is already paid for,Em.” Horror filled me as I felt his body press against me. “I finally found you. “ .
