CHAPTER 1
OUR LOVE IS HARD She couldn't recognize what her father looked like because he abandoned them when she was only two years old. She had no idea why her father had abandoned them. Fortunately, their neighbor and her mother are best friends. This means, they are not alone, they have not been abandoned, they still have someone with them, and they have managed to live a terrible existence despite the difficulties of life. Her mother's best friend also had a child, and they were the same age, height, weight, and intellect. However, their personalities are vastly different. She was startled awake by noise from below. "What was the noise there, mom?" she complained as she headed downstairs.    When she came down the stairs, she saw Aunt Lily, her mother, and Aunt Lily's son Ezekiel. She remained silent as she mentally threatened Ezekiel, wondering what he was doing here. It was very early, and I saw a devil in front of me.   She was unable to talk or move at all. Perhaps she didn't want their parents to ship them all the time. Us? Lover? That is not going to happen. "Amara?" her mother said as she regained consciousness. "W-why?" she asked, nervously. "Happy Birthday!" "Uhm… t-thank you mom," she was perplexed when she said, "thank you." She looked at aunt Lily, who was now smiling at her and then at Ezekiel, who had no reaction. She is now perplexed since she has no idea who has the birthday. When Amara didn't say anything, Arlyn (her mother) was baffled. She looked at Lily who now lost her smile because she seemed to have noticed something wrong as well. "Perhaps you forgot it was your birthday today, or maybe you're ill, or maybe you just didn't get enough sleep because you woke up to the noise," Lily calmed her feelings so that Arlyn wouldn't have to think about anything else; she's the only one that is so important to her since she's an only child, and now that it's Amara's birthday, we need to be joyful. Amara replied, "I'm alright, aunty Lily, don't worry.” Everyone felt relieved when Amara said that, including Ezekiel, who didn't seem to mind. "By the way, Arlyn and I are going to cook in the kitchen; we'll leave you here in the living room first or maybe you want to be there in the room," Lily said, laughing and winking at Arlyn, who is now smiling as well since they truly want their two children to reconcile. ***** They are now seated on the sofa because it is the only option for them. Amara is pushing herself on the right, while Ezekiel is pushing himself on the left. They’re like statues since no one speaks to them or even moves. Amara and Ezekiel wanted to move, but they were both afraid, and they didn't want to move at first because their pride seemed to have gone. Ezekiel feels bored since Amara doesn't move or talk a lot. 'This woman isn't really moving, ugh, please move,' Ezekiel grumbled silently in his head. So is Amara, who is now irritated at Ezekiel for the same reason. "By the way, happy birthday," Ezekiel said so she could move. Only Amara was able to give up after a few years of defending his pride and refusing to give up on any difficulty. "Oh... thank you," she thanked him. After that, no one spoke to them again and left wherever they are. "They're still not done? It's noon and I want to leave here, but standing up is embarrassing. I feel like I'm losing when I stand up first. Actually, I'm the winner because he spoke first, but it doesn't mean it's over," Amara thought as she looked serious as if something awful was planned. "I won't stand till she does," Ezekiel thought as they both planned something. "She won't actually stand up; I'm not young enough to argue about this, so I'll stand up first," Ezekiel thought, and he stood up instantly. Amara quickly stood up as Ezekiel did. Ezekiel took notice of her unusual actions as a result of what she had done. “He was now staring at me as if I was doing something else. If he accuses me of doing something else, I’ll defend myself. Who is he? if I have a plan I won't do that to him,” Amara thought as she stared at Ezekiel. “I’m just going to drink.” – Ezekiel “I’ll just take a shower.” – Amara They both let go of their reasons. Amara smiled at Ezekiel to keep things consistent. After that, they ignored each other and continued to do what they said, like Ezekiel who drank water, and Amara who took a bath. "How long did that woman take a bath? What is she doing in the bathroom? Tsk," Ezekiel grumbled as he sat on the couch with his arms crossed. Amara had finished her bath but was unable to leave the bathroom. She had forgotten to bring her towel and clothing, and in order to go to her room, she had to go through the living room, where Ezekiel was. "Ah... when is he going to leave the living room? I've been waiting for him to leave. What if I ask him to give me my towel and clothes? nah, that's too embarrassing. I'll just wait for maybe my aunt or mother to walk by. Yeah, that's what I should do, but I've been waiting for them for an hour!" Amara heard someone walking and instantly called out, "Mom!" She opened the door and peered out to see her mother. "W-why you?" Amara questioned as she realized she had called Ezekiel rather than her mother. "Huh? I'm already peeing; what are you doing there? Why are you taking so long?" Ezekiel asked, his gaze falling on Amara. Amara closed the door and looked surprised. “Hey, answer me. If you're startled because I'm the one in front of you instead of your mother. I'm the one who's walking and then you suddenly call your mother even though she's not here, it's just me. So I'm the one who approached you and then you suddenly become like that, what's your problem? What is it? tell me so I can do it instead, not Aunt Arlyn since she's busy," Ezekiel explained to Amara. He knew these were Amara's thoughts, so he simply answered them without waiting for her to ask. “Where’s mother?” Amara asked him. "As I already mentioned, she's busy cooking," Ezekiel answered. "Where's Aunty?" Amara asked again. "Mom? Why? They're both busy cooking, so what's it? I'll just do it," Ezekiel answered. "Okay, get my towel and clothes in my room," Amara said to Ezekiel. "It's just that? and you have a lot of chatter," he said before leaving. "Of course it's humiliating! Come on in, let's swap the situation, see if you still have a face-to-face that. That's how you are now because it didn't happen to you, just be careful when it happens to you! I'm not letting you out of the bathroom!!!” Ezekiel had already entered the room in search of Amara's clothing. When he saw the prepared clothes, he also saw her diary. Because Ezekiel was curious about what was written in her diary, he read it even though he knew he shouldn't. IN AMARA'S DIARY I will always hate Ezekiel!!!! You ugly, why did you come into my life?! I would have fought you if aunt and mom weren’t really friends. IDIOT!!! EZEKIEL i***t!!! i***t! i***t! You're ugly and stupid! I would never fall in love with someone like you! especially you, Ezekiel!! Remember, I will revenge but not yet. Just wait, i***t Ezekiel! "So this is what you think of me, Amara! After you order me, this is what I am to you. Okay, just wait, I'll also take revenge for what you're doing to me. Just wait!" "And what's ugly? me? a lot of ladies like me and then I'm ugly? And why did I come into your life? I should ask you that, why did you enter into my life too? “I would have fought you" what are you saying? when you are already fighting me privately, just be extremely careful. Yes, that's right, don't fall in love with someone like me, especially me, because you'll just end up hurting yourself; I don't like an ugly, dumb, stupid, i***t, especially when her name is Amara,” Ezekiel grumbled as he down the stairs. "Here are your clothes," Ezekiel said angrily as he gave Amara her clothes. "What happened to him? He was okay before and now he's like that. Whatever the main thing now is that he gave my towel and clothes," Amara thought. Amara got ready as Ezekiel was left. Amara came out of the bathroom and saw Ezekiel in the living room looking angry. He was most likely quite bothered about the one in Amara's diary. She took a seat on the vacant sofa to accompany Ezekiel. Because going to her aunt and mother would might disturb them and compel her to accompany Ezekiel, so she went ahead. As they had done before, no one talked to them and moved. They've gone back to being statues. They did that for a few hours as well, and it was already 5:00 p.m. They stayed in the living room again from 1:58 p.m. till 5:00 p.m., which means they didn't talk for four hours. After a few minutes, Ezekiel abruptly said, "I-if you want to move, move, no one can stop you from moving." Amara was taken aback by what he said since it looked to her to be an insult. She stood up and confronted Ezekiel, "I will move if I want to, and I know that no one can stop me from moving, why? who is he to stop me? and moreover, don't talk to me like that.” "I know," he only said, making her even angrier. "If you know what you 're talking about, why did you say that?" Amara said angrily. "I just want to," Ezekiel replied sparingly. "I'm getting pissed off you," she said as she walked into the kitchen to grab some water. She heard his laughter while walking to the kitchen and turned to look at him, but his eyes were closed and he wasn't laughing. She wasn't far from Ezekiel yet, so she had the opportunity to hit him when she saw him laughing. She turned around and began walking again, but Ezekiel pulled her closer to him, prompting Amara to sit on top of him.
