She walked into the office and the door immediately closed making her shiver. She turned only to see who was sitted there. Her mouth fell agape as she staggered backwards in fear.

"What are u waiting for? A royal invitation?" He questioned looking up at her only to freeze.

"Morgan?" He called shocked as he stood up slowly walking to her while she walked backwards trying to open the door but it wasn't opening.

"I'm... I don't think I'm in the right place, I have to go." Before she could finish, he dragged her into his embrace

"It's not a dream, its really you Morgan." He spoke tearfully releasing her off his grip

"I knew you survived, they were all lieing... they said you were dead but I knew you weren't." She stared at him in confusion.

"I'm not Morgan, I'm May. I came for the interview... "

Meeting the dare devil
A club was shown glowing with different lights. So many people drank, danced and did all manner of things as the loud music jammed in the air. ln a corner, a lady was seen drinking along with three of her friends. She wore black leather pants and a net shirt with a green long scarf hunged around her neck. She appeared to be drunk and was already putting forth a tantrum about her miserable life which her friends were already used to. Suddenly, a fight began from another corner where some people were gambling which led to a horrific mishap as everyone started running helter skelter. Her friends immediately led her out to avoid any accidents because they knew what will become of them if anything happens to her. Staggering to the car, she opened the door to the driver's seat still seriously intoxicated. "I'm.. I'm going to teach her a lesson, she wants to take all the money. Just watch what I do to her." She spoke and one of her friends who was the only male in their midst stopped her. "No way, you're not going to drive in this state. Sit at the back and I'll drive." He objected and she let out a mocking laugh. "Why? Who cares anyway, what is the worst that could happen Justin." She stated almost entering the car but they immediately dragged her out and she puked on the road side. "Oh my God, she's lost it. Do you realize drinking and driving is illegal?! We can get arrested and there will be no one to bail us out. It's so easy for you cause because you will surely get away with whatever you do but it's not the same for us okay?" Her other friend spoke and she chuckled. "You don't know what you're talking about Mabel, I have no one just like the rest of you. I'm all alone." She said spreading her hands wide to idealize her point. "We should get out of here before the cops come running in." Her third friend spoke and before they knew it, she fainted and they caught her. "I'll drive, Muriel sit beside her." Justin said as they laid her at the back seat and in no time they drove out. The rays of the sun pierced through the curtains making her roll tirelessly on the bed as she tried to obstruct the light from getting to her eyes. Not until a knock came on the door. "Princess May." A voice called and she groaned sitting up as she felt a slight headache. "What do you want?" She rudely asked and the door pushed slightly open. "Breakfast is ready, the King instructed that I call you downstairs." "I'm not hungry, tell them to go on without me." May replied and he nodded walking downstairs to the dinning hall where the King, queen and a young lady sat. "Your majesty, Princess May obliges that you all carry on without her as she has no appetite." He delivered the message and the King angrily stamped his hand on the table making them shiver in fright. "How dare she turn down my call!" He exclaimed. "I'll call her myself father, you do not have to worry." The young lady spoke but the King immediately stopped her. "Let it be Elsie, you do know she wouldn't listen to you and it's all thanks to Adline, your mother." "But your majesty..." Adline interrupted. "Enough! I'm tired of putting up with everything your so called daughter does! To imagine she dared to come back drunk last night." He ranted standing up and Adline immediately fell at his feet holding unto his leg. "I apologise on her behalf Adriel, she is a bit lousy and doesn't realize she is getting older." Adline said and Adriel aggressively pushed his leg off her grip making her fall flat on the floor. Walking to her, he held her neck tightly as she choked. "I don't care about you and your daughter okay? I don't care how she lives her life but as long as it affects my name, I will make she I erase her existence from theme royal family." He threatened and Elsie was about to intervene in the situation when Adline lifted her hand slightly making her stop which Adriel didn't take note of. She could only wonder why May failed to understand the pains their mother faced all because of her childish behavior. "Father, the Prime Minister will soon arrive, we need to make preparations for their arrival." Elsie spoke figuring another way to intervene and he stared back at her letting go of Adline. "That's right, take care of the preparations." He said and stared angrily at Adeline before walking out while Elsie immediately helped her up. "I'm sorry mother." "It's okay, go now." She persuaded and she nodded hurrying after the King. May sat before her mirror tiring up had hair to a bun when the door pushed open revealing Elsie who walked in slowly. Seeing her, May paused. "What is the Princess and lovable daughter of the King doing in my room. Will I say it's such an honour?" "May, it's time you grow up to your responsibilities as a Princess. Your actions out there will only affect the royal family's name." "You don't have to lecture me on how I live my life." May answered and stood up turning to her. "I don't care what the so called King or anyone else thinks about me. Not even you can stop me from doing whatever I please" "Not even mother? Don't you at least care about mother and her feelings?" Elsie questioned and May walked closer to her. "The reason why I'm still living here in this palace and still trying to keep calm about everything is because of mother. So don't you dare pretend like the perfect one by blackmailing me about mother's feelings and what she's going through. The best you can do is continue being the King's favorite daughter, you'll be more appreciated with that." May spoke and walked out angrily only to meet Adline by the hallway. "May..." Adline called as May was about to walk past her and May came to a stop. "Remember, there will be a royal ball tonight, you shouldn't miss it for anything." May turned hearing what she said. "Why do you keep on doing this mother. I see how much you like making me feel like the guilty one." May said and Adline's eyebrows cruised. "I'm doing nothing of that such May, I just want you to come to the reality that no one hates you at all, not even the your father, the King. He loves you a lot and is only trying to make you a better person." "Love? Fine, let's say he does love me, will you claim he does love you too? I mean look at yourself mother. The marks on your neck clearly states that he did what he knows how to do best. Will you call it love with the fact that he beats you everyday? Perhaps you will be the good wife and Queen by covering those marks with some make up tonight and feign a happiness that you can't even spell out to yourself. If that is love, no one would want to experience it." May responded and walked out while Adline exhaled deeply. She knew May was right, she had always been right but she never wanted her life to be ruined just because of all that's going on around her. May rushed to a junction where she sighted her friends waiting for her. On getting there, she struggled to catch her breath. "I'm sorry, I'm late again." "As always, u forget it's your interview today." Muriel spoke as they started walking together down the road. "There is something we want to be sure of May. Are you sure your parents are going to buy the fact that you're going to be working to earn money outside the royal corperations?" Justin asked. "it's not their problem to worry about okay? I decide what I want. Besides the King won't love me working in the royal cooperation either. You don't have to worry, I'll make sure you guys don't get involved even if they find out." She assured and they nodded. It was night, May, Justin, Muriel and Mabel walked out of a corporation helplessly. "Why did you have to do that May?" Mabel questioned. "He is so arrogant, didn't you see how he responded like he was the boss of me." May replied dryly. "He is the general manager and is automatically your boss, so you have to do whatever he says." Justin added and May rolled her eyes. "Well, that's all over now. There is no way they will think of employing you again. We just have to find another place." Mabel stated. "Mmm." Muriel agreed and they all paused getting to where they had to go separate ways. "I guess it's a good night." Mabel said and May cruised her eyebrows. "I thought you were all coming with me to the royal ball." "No way, you know how much the King dislikes us and the least thing I want is to get embarrassed. Just have a good time." Muriel responded and May exhaled deeply. "Good night then." She said watching them leave, then she continued walking down the street which had poor lights. it was difficult to catch with the things on the road but she was already use to it. Bringing out a liqour in a container, she gulped it down as she silently watched her pace. Suddenly, she saw two cars parked by the middle of the road. She immediately hid seeing some men fighting themselves. The car light were still on making it easier for her to see the b****y fight. One of the men which she guessed the other men were attacking, happened to be the one killing them all one after the other like they were trash. Seeing the dead bodies line up on the floor, she couldn't help but gasp in fear. She immediately covered her mouth when she saw him turn towards her direction and she moved backwards only for her to hit a container that also made a sound. "Who's there?!" His deep voice rang in the silent street sending a death sentence to her soul. Knowing she would be a dead meat if she remained there, she started running with all her strength. She could feel his steep steps coming behind her and only then did she realize she lived her life so much. For the first time, she became scared of death and she jumped all obstacles laying on the road but just as she thought she was losing him, she felt a hand drag her to a corner closing her mouth tightly. His grip on her was so strong that she couldn't scream or move. Her heart clenched at the possibility that she might not be able to make it out of there alive.
