The Incident
He sat in the toilet, his heart beating fast he could hear it in his ears, and he dearly wished his predators couldn't hear it too. he heard the approaching footsteps and slowed his breathing hoping they don't find him. Unfortunately, the door was kicked open, and a group of boys stood in front of the toilet and the at middle stood the leader of the notorious gang.
"I told you, Christian, you can run, but cannot hide. Out now!"
Christian clutched his laptop tightly to his chest and walked out of the toilet, his head bowed to the ground. he slowly made his way to the center of the gang, his head still bent to the ground "Give it to me." Jasper commanded boldly pointing at the laptop that was being clutched tightly against Christian's chest. "I-i-i told you I w-wont." He could hear scoffs and laughter around him but he kept holding his laptop firmly. Jasper walked forward and roughly pushed up his bent head. "A nympho like you do not have a right to anything." Christian tried to fight back but was roughly held by Jasper's friends. His hands were roughly twisted behind him in an off manner, causing his laptop to fall hard on the floor. he struggled like a donkey being taken to a slaughterhouse but they held him firmly. Jasper picked up the laptop and laughed when he saw it did not have a password.
"Bet you never expected anyone to find out right? That's why you didn't put up a password. Thanks, makes it easier for me."
"What do you want from me!"
Christian shouted In anger, but Jasper just ignored him and went back to operating the laptop. Within a few minutes, everyone's phone beeped from a notification. Jasper nodded to his friends and they brutally pushed Christian away causing his glasses to shift from their original position.
"All done." Jasper walked up to Christian and handed him his laptop but before he could grab it, he purposely dropped it to the floor. "See you later, buddy." He patted Christian on the back and walked away with his friends. They all laughed as they looked at their phones, probably from the earlier notification, they walked away freely like they had not just violated someone's human rights.
Christian helplessly knelt with a thud beside his laptop and quickly checked his files, dreading the worst, and unfortunately, the worst did happen. He used the back of his wrist to push his glasses into place so he could see clearly and at that moment, Jasper turned to look at him and saw a disheveled nerd bent over his laptop and using his wrist to push his glasses in place. 'Funny' he thought to himself as he turned and walked away with his friends. Hot tears ran down Christian's cheeks, and a searing pain tore through his heart. His hard work has been deleted. The novel he wrote every second of his life for a year has been deleted in less than a second by a devil. Anger filled him up, and when he remembers that he can't do anything to the cause of his pain, he got so enraged his chest constricted in anger, and breathing posed to be a difficult task. He dragged in oxygen to loosen the tightness in his lungs but, that didn't stop the tears from falling. Where did he do wrong? He had almost succeeded in avoiding people yet he couldn't do it right, just one month to the end of high school but trouble found him.
it's been a week since Jasper found him writing on his laptop in class when everyone went out for the break, he had been so lost in thought that he didn't hear footsteps approach; now look where his carelessness got him. Jasper had threatened to expose him but he ignored him like he does his bullies, but as days went by, Jasper started harassing him secretly with his group of friends, and he started to hide from him; but as Jasper kept telling him, he could run but he cannot hide. He cried for a long time and thought about how he could have saved this file to the cloud and he wouldn't have been this just but he kept postponing it and finally... it's all gone. A f******k notification brought him out of his melancholy. He saw a comment and wondered when he posted anything online, he hardly ever used it. He tapped on the comment to see all other hundreds of comments under the post he knew nothing of.
"Ewe, you disgust me!"
"f**k you! you deserve to be alone."
"I'm suing you!"
"NYMPHOMANIAC!!!"
"I could f**k you if you want."
"A wolf in sheep's clothing."
"Are you gay?"
He stooped at that comment and scrolled to the post. A chapter from an erotic plot in his novel was posted with a girl's name tagged to it and with a write-up that read *"I'M ADDICTED TO PEEKING AT JULILA USING THE TOILET. CANT GET ENOUGH!!!"* His heart thudded in his chest and cold broke out of his palms, how evil could he get??? he hated Jasper before, but now he loathed him.
How could he? he felt walls closing in on him as he imagined how everyone is going to look at him when he leaves this place and how was going to survive the remaining one month in this school. he quickly deleted the post and posted an apology to the girl whose name and picture were tagged but he got negative comments still. He left the toilet with mixed feelings; Anger, defeat, helplessness, fear of the unknown, and hatred for a particular person and his friends. when the students saw him, they all brought out their phoned and recorded him while some took pictures and at the same time cursed at him. He walked out of the school in humiliation and rook the first taxi he saw, he didn't have to wait for dismissal period, he'd had enough for the day. he only hoped he would survive the remaining month...
