CHOICES I

PROLOGUE Maya’s POV Hi, I am Maya Kapoor . I am turning 15 next week as well as promoted to the next class. Being average student in academics I am not that popular. To be more specific I just go to school cause I have strict parents and to spend time with my friends. I have heard rumors that a transfer student would be joining our class in the new session from my friend, Arya. She even told gossips about me that the whole class thinks I am mean. She was expecting furious reaction from me but I said, “I don’t care till you all don’t think like that.” . . . Chapter 1. When I first saw him I was late to school again……okay I know often late to school but today was my first day in the new session. Luckily when I entered the class, our class teacher, Miss Chloe was not there. I immediately moved towards my seat before I saw someone sitting there. I could not see his face as his back faced me. I thought he would no other than my friend, Aarav just to annoy me. I went closer to him and pulled his shoulder with full force. Just then Aarav called, “Maya..?” from behind. Wait…..then who is he?? I saw that boy facing me, his expression was like this action was unexpected…of course it would be. I concentrated on his features. My heart skipped a beat. I couldn’t think further as teacher entered the class and we greeted her and greeted us back, “Good Morning class. You all may sit down.” She asked all of us to sit down. And then she pointed me and said, “You may sit next to him, Maya.” I got super excited when she asked me to sit beside him but I did not let my excitement took over my face. Although we knew Miss Chloe as she was our Literature teacher last year yet she gave us a formal introduction and distributed the time table chart to everyone and took her leave. No sooner did she I looked at him and asked, “Are you the transfer student who is extraordinary at academics?” He chuckled at my question and answered, “yes,…um….do people recognize me as an extraordinary student?” I replied, “indeed, they do as they were such rumors…by the way I am Maya Kapoor and you?” “Oh yes, I am Arjun Sharma.” During this whole conversation I had controlled myself not to giggle or blush and I thinl I was successful. Soon the teacher entered the class and we started to concentrate on the class. In the lunch period I switched my place with one of my classmates to talk with Arya while Arjun made some new friends. Soon the lunch period got over and we were back to our books. He asked me many questions regarding the campus, teachers and our classmates and I did answer them. So the whole day for me was fab atleast I wasn’t that bored. I did not have much homework as it was the first day…and….
