I wake up and rub my eyes before rolling over and looking at the clock. I jolt up. todays my nineteenth birthday! I can finally meet my mate!! I get dressed in a pair of black skinny jeans, booties, a black crop top layered over a black tank and my usual black studded wrist band. I head downstairs where my mom is cooking while my dad reads the paper and my brother Alex is eating enough food to feed a small human army. My mom smiles and placed a plate in front of me “happy birthday sweetie.” She says I smile and thank her while my brother just rolls her eyes and dad gives me a kiss on the cheek “happy birthday pumpkin.” “Thanks dad.” I smile and then get ready to head to school I grab my bag and get into my mustang. Once I arrived at school I received a lot of happy birthdays and a few presents from my friends. Emma got me a bracket and earrings and Clair the betas daughter got me a new dress to wear to my party tonight. I thanked them both and put the stuff in my locker before going to class. Later I met up with the girls at lunch at our usual table. “Hey girl any luck finding your mate yet?” Asks Emma I shake my head no and she frowns “well there’s always tonight don’t worry sof” I just nod and eat my food. I attend my last class for the day then get the gifts out of my locker before heading home. I went upstairs to get ready for my party and put on the earrings and bracelet as well as the dress it was a little short but it was black sparkly and strapless so I liked it. After curling my hair carefully and doing my makeup I head to my car. I hope I’ll meet my mate tonight. I get to the clearing where the part is being held and it’s absolutely amazing. As soon as I get out a loud chorus of “happy birthday!” Reaches my ears. I thank everyone before heading to get some food. I see omegas rushing around to keep restocking the food and drinks and smile at them. I then get a plate and head to the table where Clair and Emma are sitting. “Any luck yet girl?” Clair says. I shake my head. “Oh well we have all night. Let’s dance!!” And we hit the dance floor. Me and the girls are dancing when the most delicious smell enters my nose, pine and mist. It’s making my wolf Kira howl with joy “mate!”. The girls pick up on my expression and smile. I follow the sent going on my instincts. My uncle chase and my aunt Lucy step in front of me smiling “happy birthday cupcake” my uncle says “um thanks but I really need to go my mates here” “oh well we won’t keep you any longer sweetie go get him” aunt Lucy says. I smile and continue to search for my mate. I am desperately searching and my wolf is getting agitated when someone bumps into me and I stumble backwards but before I can fall a pair of strong arms wrap around me and I feel sparks shoot off my skin from the contact. I stand and turn to find the most gorgeous pair of blue green eyes ever. “Mate!” Kira screams. I snap out of my trance and realize that my mate is none other than my alpha. “Crap” I muttered to myself. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to bump into you or anything-“ I’m cut off by a pair of lips on mine “mine” He growls. Then cheers break out the pack finally has a Luna and their alpha finally has a mate. “It’s quite alright princess and happy birthday” “um thanks” I say a little out of it. This is crazy the alpha is my mate? How is this possible!! My parents come and congratulate us bowing to each of us before hoarding somewhere else just then a slow song starts playing and Ryder reaches his hand out in invitation “please dance with me?” He pleads while looking at me with sincere eyes I just nod speechless and we start swaying to the music. I felt very comforted just being wrapped in my mates arms. Eventually the party ended though and it was time to go home. I was surprised when I started to head to my car I was pulled back but Ryder “where are you going?” He asks “home?” I look at him questionably. He shakes his head “your staying with me.” He says leaving no room for an argument. “Besides I had all your things moved to my house and all your presents are in the car already baby.” “But what about my car” I gesture over my shoulder for empathize. “My men will get it” he says taking the keys out of my hand. I honestly don’t know why I’m trying to get out of it he’s my mate. I nod and he looks relieved that I agreed and I immediately felt bad for trying to reason out. I grabbed his hand and he leads me to his car. He takes us to the packhouse and Carries me to his room since I’m too tired to walk. We get there and he places me down on the bed I see all my things have been unpacked and put away. I then blush at the thought of people going through my personal items. Oh well no time to worry about that now. Ryder comes to my side and I realize he has something in his hands I look and realize it’s one of my nightgowns. I head to the huge bathroom and am in awe with how big it is there’s a claw tub and a walk in shower. There’s also another door that leads to a walk in closet. I quickly undo my hair and take my makeup off before putting on my nightgown. I put my dress in the hamper and my shoes in the closet before walking out. I then gasp slightly when I see Ryder standing there without a shirt. He smirks when he catches me staring “like what you see?” I nod blushing slightly. He then takes off his pants and crawls into bed opening his arms for me to come over. I get under the blankets and am pulled against his chest. “Goodnight sweetheart.” He whispers to me. “Goodnight Ryder” I say before drifting off to sleep.
